  • 01-18-19  "An outstanding & deeply moving Truth for the Ages... Mr. Sandys’ performance was unbelievable in its perfection. This is the 1st time I’ve encountered his reading and I was blown away! I will look for more of his historical fiction."
  • 03-03-19  5 out of 5 stars   "Great story, great writing, great narration!"
  • 11-22-22  An excellent readI thoroughly enjoyed this story and kept thinking this would make a great movie. The narrator was excellent. I would select an Audible book based on this author and narrator.
  • 03-14-19 "Excellent true story well told... This is a sweet story that describes how the intolerance of a loud minority can create misery for all. The narrator shifting from German to regional English accents was different but works well."

  • 09-28-18 5 out of 5 stars "This audio edition of the classic vampire tale is perhaps one of the best. The reader, Nick Sandys, does all the character voices with distinct individuality that you almost believe it's a full cast rather than one man. You owe it to yourself to seek out this version as it is well worth immersing yourself in."

It can also be said that Shakespeare’s sonnets can be enjoyed by many ways. Or each narration has its own uniqueness. Indeed, that’s why Shakespeare is great."

  • 11-01-22  Simply excellent. An opportunity to look into the opposite side of the war was a revelation. The author did an incredible job and the narration blew me away.

  • 04-19-19 Thought provoking. I think the narrator did a very good job with the different inflections. It was very informative as to the history of that time. Both brothers were clearly defined in their thoughts and behavior.

  • AudioFile 2006:
  • "an effective synergy of writer and reader... [Granger's] wit [...] is what the narrator builds on to make his delivery a delight. Sandys enters fully into Granger's perspective, sounding first dubious about Harry Potter's moral importance, then gleefully surprised."
